This "Desk Research & Survey" provides a dual analysis for the Metamorphoses project. Firstly, it conducts a comprehensive literature review on digital technologies in music, covering Networked Music Performance, video-enhanced tools, Digital Audio Workstations, and online organizational platforms. Secondly, it presents and analyzes survey results from music professionals across Europe. The survey quantifies the adoption and perceived impact of these digital tools in teaching and performance, revealing widespread use but varied perspectives on their transformative effect. The document concludes by identifying key challenges and outlining future research steps.
